Paradise Found

Client: 555 Comics | Web Comic Series

Role: Lead Writer

LOGLINE
After an injury ends her dream dance career, Eve washes up on a mysterious island where the nights are lethal and nothing makes sense. But honestly? Facing monsters is easier than facing adulthood, and this nightmarish hellscape might just be the break she didn’t know she needed.

ROLE
I wrote and wrangled the expansive story and scripts behind Paradise Found, a daily web comic told through the protagonist’s live-tweeted POVs and real-time, slightly (okay, very) unhinged updates on what’s been trying to kill her lately around the island. I pitched multi-season story arcs, wrote episodic scripts for weeks’ worth of content at a time, and edited my drafts with the clear goal of keeping the story punchy, weird, and scroll-worthy.

In addition to running Eve’s account, I also wrote the scripts and managed the accounts for her supporting cast of allies. Every day, I live-engaged with readers, encouraging them to influence the main character’s story and decisions, and invited them to craft their own role-playing characters — who I then wove back into the narrative to deepen immersion and boost readers interactive agency.

Basically: I wrote a surreal island survival saga told from multiple in-world perspectives, kept the vibes spooky, made the audience part of the story, and built a deeply engaged fandom along the way.
